Judy makes you feel amazing. A pretty bold statement, I’m making; however, it’s backed up by some pretty valid reasons. Read on to find out!
Judy Librach (@theblisminute) is a Life Coach. Radio host, author, publisher of the online magazine findingyourbliss.com, meditation expert, speaker, proud wife, and mom!
To say this amazing woman has her plate full is an understatement. From experience, I can acknowledge that she not only does it all, but she does it well and with the utmost class.
I was a guest on her radio show and I have written for The Bliss Magazine. Each time I have worked with her, I feel as if I am the only guest or writer that matters in the whole world. Every detail is paid attention to, not to mention the countless phone calls in between that have me in stitches. When each project that we worked on was over, I was so sad because I didn’t want it to end. That’s how special she made me feel.
As I was creating my list for mentors for the book Get Up, to answer the question:
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO YOUR TEENAGE SELF
How could I NOT ask Judy? Judy makes you feel amazing – and I think my readers should feel the same way too.
And it’s a goodie!
But before we dive into the wise words she shared, let’s take a dive into her world. Fasten your seatbelts – it’s a wild ride!
Who is Judy Librach?
I have always loved helping people to find and follow their bliss. My favorite thing is to coach someone, watch them blossom, help them get unstuck and reach their goal. I also love being a wife, a proud mom of two, and a great friend. My husband always says that he loves my “joie de vivre”, and I agree. I am a “make it happen” kind of person.”
Share the path that led you to become a life coach
I’ve actually been a life coach, even since I was a little girl. My friends used to always come to me for advice and would call me “Dear Abby”. Later on in life after I had my children, a very good friend of mine, the late Carol Wise ZL” suggested that I become a life coach because she said, “You already are one”. She not only convinced me to go to the Adler School of Professional Coaching, but she actually came with me to my first introductory meeting. I am eternally grateful to her for her support and encouragement in helping me find my purpose and my bliss.
How was Finding Your Bliss born?
After both of my children left for university, I hung up my carpool keys and hid under my covers for a week, as I didn’t know what to do with myself! For years, I had been dreaming of creating an Instagram page called @theblissminute, which was going to include daily posts of positivity in order to create a joyful start to your day!
But, it stayed right there, on the to-do list. And then, slowly, I began to write these Bliss Minutes posts. After writing seven “Bliss Minutes”, I became so passionate about doing it, that it took on a life of its own.
I then turned the Bliss Minutes into videos and posted them on social media.@theblissminute on Instagram. It was so fulfilling and so much fun, that hours flew by and I didn’t even notice the time. After a while, I realized that I wanted other people to have the same opportunity to share their bliss stories, so I created an online magazine called Finding Your Bliss, where a collection of talented writers write about finding their bliss.
What happened next was the icing on the cake. A producer friend of mine had heard about an opening on Zoomer Radio for a one-hour talk show and she recommended me and the rest is history. We are in season three now and I have conducted over 300 interviews! The best part is, I feel I have helped so many people. If you miss the live radio show? Don’t worry! You can always listen to episodes as a podcast on several platforms. (Apple, Spotify, Google Play, Stitcher, Zoomer Radio, and findingyourbliss.com)
What is your typical day like?
Each day I wake up super early and begin posting on Instagram. Then I grab my Starbucks coffee and begin to walk my 10,000 steps with my Fitbit while I catch up with some friends.
We start work at 11 am. Mondays are usually spent completing the podcast forms. We also write promos for upcoming shows and polish off the scripts for that week. Booking guests, thanking guests, and finishing books by authors that are coming up on that week’s show also need to be completed. Then we break for dinner until about 7 pm and begin working on in/out cues for that week’s show. Here, we record pick-ups which are additions and revisions to the program.
On Tuesday it all begins again, where we try to complete the whole show so that we can send the show off to Zoomer Radio so that it can be polished and prepped to go on air that week.
Wednesday is Interview day! After I do my hair and makeup, we revise and clean up the scripts, print them, set up the lights, and begin to record our interviews. We typically do 2 interviews every Wednesday, sometimes more, and then I film the Bliss Minute for the week.
Thursday is booking future shows, reaching out to guests, listening to music from our upcoming artists, and publishing other content such as our Insight Timer Meditation app, organizing contests and giveaways and so much more!
Friday is our Production Meeting day, (where we all come together), tying up loose ends, and I get caught up on all my correspondence, and sometimes begin preparing my talks for various speaking engagements and interviews.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
There are nights when I don’t sleep as much as I would like! Now that we are virtual, one of the most challenging parts is when there are technical issues, dogs barking, babies crying, which normally you don’t hear if you’re in a soundproof radio station, which was where we used to record the show LIVE before the pandemic. Now we put the show together virtually and we’re all connected by 4 laptops and a modem. And then we send it off to a Zoomer who preps it for air and then broadcasts on Zoomer Radio every Saturday at 1 pm.
How do you like to unwind after a long day?
I love to sit by my fireplace and call my friends, see my husband, catch up with my children, read, exercise, and meditate.
Favourite guilty pleasures? Favourite book? Movie?
Watching and re-watching “Schitt’s Creek” is such a fun and entertaining guilty pleasure because it really relaxes me. The movie Monster In Law starring Jennifer Watching and re-watching “Schitt’s Creek” is my fun and favorite activity, because it really relaxes me and makes me laugh and cry (in a good way!). . The movie “Monster In Law” starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda is hysterical and our number one film as a family to watch on repeat. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is my favorite book and I love watching reality singing competition shows such as “America’s Got Talent” and now “Canada’s Got Talent”, “American Idol” and “The Voice,” just to name a few.
Time to unpack your quote! Can you please elaborate on your wise words?
“Enjoy life and don’t worry so much. 99 percent of what we worry about never happens. So try to live in the present as much as possible, not worrying about what has just happened, or what is about to happen. Everything has a way of falling into place, especially when you replace worry with feelings of calm and trust, and know that where you are right now, is exactly where you need to be.”
I learned some of this from my husband, who has taught me the notion that 99% of what we worry about never happens. This quote helps keep me on track and I think of it often.
When we are in a mindful state and if we practice something as simple as some breathing exercises or meditation for 2 minutes every day, it can really help us avoid worrying about the past or fretting about the future, and instead, it helps us be content and at peace with what is happening right now.
When you take the time in your busy life to find those quiet moments, to create stillness and sanctuary in your day, which is always available to you, you just feel happier. It’s like an instant tranquilizer and joy- booster and you learn how to become self-content with exactly where you are in the present time. I believe this leads to great feelings of satisfaction, fulfillment, and bliss.

After writing on this blog, I can’t help but say to myself, geez – Judy makes you feel amazing. Always present, able, and willing to help those who cross her path. Whether speaking to an audience of thousands, or by a one-on-one conversation. I am so lucky and grateful that she was able to share her wisdom here and in my book Get Up.
