Meet Mia Adler, CEO of Mimi for Mental Health @Mimi.For.Mental.Health. A @Project_Give_Back initiative that is making a huge difference in the world of mental health.
Mia, known to all as Mimi, will soon be a 7th grader at Humewood Community School. Sister, daughter, and friend to many. Loves pasta, sushi, and hanging out with her friends.
But Most Importantly…
Mmmm Cookies! Who loves cookies?
The gooiest, decadent melt in your mouth cookies?
And then there’s COVID-19.
Sigh.
This pandemic has created a whole new kind of challenge to those who regularly feel anxious and a bit sad. Those who didn’t use to feel anxious or sad may suddenly feel this way now.
Overwhelming?
Yes.
Here’s where Mia comes in to help.
The project: Mimi For Mental Health
Partnering with @Sams_Sweet_Creations, Yes, THAT Sam. The creator of the most delicious, creative baked goods you will ever see. A definite treat for the eyes and mouth. Just check out his social media posts and you will see what I’m talking about.
Here is how Mimi for Mental Health works:
Mimi sells these “OMG cookies” that Sam baked. Choose from chewy chocolate chunk, reverse double white chocolate chunk, or s’mores cookies. Heck, I would order all three!
Then these cookies go:
1. As a gift – to those who need to know that they are loved and never alone.
2. To you! To enjoy every last weak-in-your-knees bite!
All of the proceeds go to @mentalhealthempowermentday.
A resource for all things Mental Health. To raise awareness, eradicate stigma, and offer support.
A cause that is close to Mia’s heart for many reasons. “Sometimes I get anxious and in the past, I know that speaking to someone or knowing that someone is there for you can really help.”
Bless this child.
Asking for help is a sign of strength. Not a weakness.
Write that somewhere where you can see it. Every day.
Mia is incredibly grateful for her parents @masugarm and @sjadler for all of the advertising and chauffeur services. For more information and to order your cookies, please visit www.mimiformentalhealth.ca.
The last delivery date is September 18th so get you order in as they are selling out quickly!
I’m so grateful to be able to have the opportunity to write what I’m passionate about and what I think will serve others. If you would like me to write about you and your passions for the Braves The Waves Journal, or for your own company, please be in touch.
